Female Fertility Profile

The Female Fertility Profile is a group of tests focused on hormones and other markers that play a role in ovulation and menstrual cycle health. It is designed to give your clinician a clearer view of how your ovaries and reproductive hormones are functioning when pregnancy is being planned or fertility concerns are being explored.

Depending on the package, the Female Fertility Profile may measure hormones such as FSH, LH, estradiol, progesterone, AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) and prolactin, and sometimes thyroid or other related markers. Your results are considered together with your cycle pattern, age, medical history and lifestyle to help build a more complete picture of your fertility status.

Some fertility-related hormones are best checked on specific days of the cycle, often in the early follicular phase (for example, around day 2–5) or mid-luteal phase, depending on the markers ordered. When you schedule your profile, you will be given clear guidance on timing so that the blood tests are taken on the most appropriate day for meaningful interpretation.

No test can guarantee whether or when pregnancy will occur. The Female Fertility Profile provides information about your current hormone levels and ovarian function, but fertility is also influenced by age, partner factors, egg and sperm quality, fallopian tubes, uterus and overall health. Your clinician will use the results as one part of a broader fertility assessment and discussion.

Before testing, you may be asked to note the first day of your last period so that the samples can be timed correctly. In some cases, fasting or scheduling around certain medications or hormonal treatments may be recommended. You will receive specific instructions at the time of booking so you know exactly how to prepare for your appointment.

Your report is shared with you through secure and confidential channels. During a follow-up consultation, your doctor or fertility specialist will explain what the values mean in relation to your age, cycle, symptoms and pregnancy plans. Together you can discuss options such as lifestyle adjustments, further investigations, timing of intercourse or assisted reproductive treatments, if appropriate.
